Louis Comfort Tiffany worked in New York, designing stained glass for an interior design firm. The leftover pieces of glass at the end of each work day inspired him to start designed lampshades from them. He did continue doing the design work for the firm for a while, but soon he began exclusively designing and creating his signature lamps. A few artists and craftspeople worked with him to create the lamps, which were art but that he intended to be used in people's homes and used, rather than simply admired.
This contemporary glass clear table lamp is one of the most beautiful and prettiest glass lamps available online. It catches the attention on the first sight and makes a lasting impression! Not only does it look beautiful it gives out a good amount of light because of its clear glass, however, it holds only one bulb of 150 watts. The fact that it holds 150 watts bulb proves that it provides good enough light to light up a dark room.
A lamp for the dining room can be from 20 to 36 inches in height. Choose a lamp that is just the right height so it would not shine straightly on the diner's eyes. Place a lamp with slim base in the dining room so it will take only less space and leave enough room for food platters, tableware stacks and other stuffs. To provide a romantic glow in the room, you can use a lamp with metallic gold or nickel interior and opaque shade. Bulbs to be used in dining rooms are below 60 Watts; bulbs with silver tips can effectively reduce glare.
