Louis Comfort Tiffany worked in New York, designing stained glass for an interior design firm. The leftover pieces of glass at the end of each work day inspired him to start designed lampshades from them. He did continue doing the design work for the firm for a while, but soon he began exclusively designing and creating his signature lamps. A few artists and craftspeople worked with him to create the lamps, which were art but that he intended to be used in people's homes and used, rather than simply admired.
There are thousands of lamps out there and each has its own distinct features. Lamps do not only function as lighting equipment, but they are also an essential part of your house. Lamps can set the mood of your home and provide a comforting aura to any part of house.
Cordless wall mounted lamps can save you hundreds of dollars worth of home wiring. Some lamps even look like antiques to give your room a very classy aura. All you need to do is stick it to the wall, put some batteries on, and you are good to go. There also some lamps designed to provide some light to paintings and other hard to reach places of your house.
